celself1.jpgMy name is Celeste Gillis, and I'm an artist who has been specializing in portraiture for the past decade; accepting commissions from clients throughout North America as well as overseas. I studied Fine Arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design, and have worked as an Art Consultant for various galleries, as well as curated several art shows and music events. I also love dogs, cats, horses & bunnies, and have made capturing their unique personalities my focus. PRICING: My charcoal portraits are $225 for a 14" x 17" drawing with one pet, and $100 for a second pet in the same portrait. All portraits are composed on archival quality vellum bristol, then spray coated with a matte fixative. Please inquire for larger sizing options (incl. those with more than 2 animals).  Prices are in both CAD & USD.

TURNAROUND: Anywhere from 2-6 weeks, depending on my workload at the time. The Christmas season is particularly busy, so please have your orders in A.S.A.P. Also, if you have a specific deadline please let me know ahead of time so that I can accommodate your needs.

PHOTOS: Please provide one or more close up, clear and detailed photos of your pet(s). The larger the photos, the easier to work with. You can provide me with originals, or email me high resolution (large sized) digital pictures, which are even better. If you are not sure, feel free to send me photos and we can decide together.

PAYMENT: What I will require from you is a 50% deposit, either via cheque,  PayPal, or direct deposit; with the balance and shipping paid upon completion. Please email me for further payment details and information.

FRAMING: I do not provide framing myself, but I can certainly provide suggestions for local framing. If you are on a budget, my 14" x 17" portraits work nicely with a standard 16" x 20" frame which can be purchased at most superstores.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY: Shipping for charcoal portraits within Canada and the US is a standard $30 for regular mail. Priority or International shipping will require a custom quote which I would be happy to obtain for you. If you are in the downtown Toronto area and are able to pick up the piece in person (or if it's an easy commute for me) there is no delivery charge. Shipping for acrylic paintings will vary depending on location and require a custom quote.

GIFT CERTIFICATES: I offer Gift Certificates in any amount over $25. They have been popular  as gifts, as well as submissions for raffles and charity events. Please inquire for details.
